Stewardship
"as Christian stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord." U.S. Bishops' Pastoral Letter on Stewardship
Stewardship is based on the understanding that all that we have and all that we are is a gift from God — our time, our talent, our money and even the gift of life itself. We must show our gratitude for these gifts by returning a portion of them to God.
When we consider our participation in stewardship, we need to include our time and talent as well as our treasure. Giving time and talent expresses our gratitude to God who has given us these gifts. Our parish has sponsored Called and Gifted workshops to help parishioners discern the best way for each individual to become a true disciple.
